Weekly Notices - 7th June 2026
It has been a good several years since St Aug’s held any kind of formal spiritual training and it is with great excitement that we can now offer you all an Alpha Course later this year.
For those who are unfamiliar with this Course, the first Alpha conference was held in 1993 in Brampton, England, and in the next year, it was made accessible to the widest possible audience internationally.
The Alpha Course is created to emphasize the essentials that all denominations agree on. We believe that what unites us is infinitely greater than what divides us.
It will take quite a bit of organising and training of Leaders for this venture, and Our Prayer Ministry Team are asking for your prayers as they enter a busy time of planning. For this to work, each one of us are challenged to be a part of the Team and to bring in those in our community who we feel, will benefit.
So, the Prayer team have sent us this challenge, and invite you to pray:
We have selected the subject of “Alpha and New People coming to Church“ as the Parish Prayer Theme for the month of June. With much anticipation, we're looking forward to an Alpha course being run in the parish in the latter part of the year.
Come along to either Service next Sunday to hear more details about the course and how we can begin to prayerfully support this!
May God continue to bless St Aug’s
