Weekly Notices - 26th July 2026
Throughout the gospel of Matthew, Jesus teaches that faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. This statement challenges the common belief that faith must be strong, unwavering, or fully developed to be effective. Instead, it reveals that even a small amount of true faith, when placed in God, is powerful.
At times, we may feel discouraged when our faith seems weak or uncertain. There may be moments of doubt, hesitation or struggle. However, this teaching offers reassurance that God does not require perfection. He responds to sincerity. A small, honest step toward Him is enough for Him to begin working.
With this in mind, I find encouragement for our parish meeting scheduled for Sunday morning. We are charged to place our faith in our Risen King and allow Him to guide us through whatever process we will find ourselves following, in the coming weeks and months.
I look forward to a meeting of minds, with everyone feeling free to voice their opinions – with respect, and remembering that at the end of the day, we are a family: a beautiful family in Christ.
So please make the time to attend this important, special meeting. If we are to grow together in our ministry here on the hill, may we grow as a Whole Gospel (living it out daily), Whole People (building each other up) and Whole Mission (responding to God’s call together).

Theme: Wisdom through seeking God who is our greatest treasure
Sentence: ‘Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38–39
Collect:
God of mercy,
you have blessed us beyond our dreams;
you have set before us promises and perils beyond our
understanding;
help us to struggle and pray that the perils may be averted
and your promises fulfilled.
Hear this prayer for your love’s sake.
