Weekly Notices - 17th May 2026

Next week, Bp Peter will gather all his priests in Ashburton for our annual Clergy Conference.  This will be a special time of meeting other colleagues, spending daily time in worship, and being held together, yet apart, in God's Ministry.

One of the highlights for me at Clergy Conference, is that there is always the opportunity to 'network' and feed on the ideas of friends in the Church sent out, like me, to preach the Gospel and live God's Truth.

This Sunday, our Gospel message is especially poignant as Jesus prays over His disciples. On that night of His death, He once again charges His disciples - and us! - to live in the spirit of forgiveness and peace under the promise of His Holy Spirit and Advocate. And then turns to His Father and blesses His followers in a deeply emotional plea for unity over those He knew.

We are blessed to live our lives under the wings of a loving, caring God, and to know that Jesus continues to pray for us in this mess that we call our world!
A world that God created for us and upon which we have brought so much injustice and pain!

As we move forward, sharing a Whole Gospel, as a Whole People in God's Whole Mission, may we remember that we are held in prayer by the bravest, most loving, most caring person to walk this earth.

May God always bless St Aug's,

Your Friend and Vicar, Kofe
