Concerts for Christchurch Foundation Trust is thrilled to welcome Sea-am Thompson back to
St Augustine’s, Cashmere for an organ recital while he is home briefly from his music studies in Oxford. We look forward to hearing him perform well known works from the organ repertoire alongside some musical surprises.

Sea-am Thompson is currently Junior Organ Scholar at Magdalen College, Oxford, UK, where he is studying for a BA in Music.
He previously served as an alto choral scholar and organ scholar
for the choir of ChristChurch Cathedral, New Zealand and also the accompanist for the Christchurch City Choir.
Sea-am Thompson completed his high school education at St Andrew’s College, Christchurch, at the end of 2024. A versatile musician, he plays the violin, piano, and organ, sings, and enjoys conducting. He holds an organ LTCL (2024), and an ATCL
in violin (2022). Sea-am was the national winner of the NZCT Chamber Composition Competition with his ‘Piano Trio no. 2’ for violin, cello, and piano, which premiered at Wellington’s Michael Fowler Centre. He has also composed for choir, orchestra and chamber groups.
